He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts between 1922 and 1929, under the guidance of Gyula Rudnay and János Vaszary. In 1928, he met Herwarth Walden in Berlin, and the following year, he exhibited his works at the Sturm Gallery alongside Walden and László Moholy-Nagy. Later, he taught at the School of Applied Arts, serving as its director from 1958 to 1963, while also creating numerous monumental works and sculptures.
