Tamás Hencze was a self-taught Hungarian painter and graphic artist, a significant figure of 20th-century abstract art. As a member of the Zugló Circle and a student of Dezső Korniss, he developed a distinctive visual language based on symbolic forms. His work was recognized with several prestigious awards, including the Kossuth Prize.
